It's really just a pull-off on the highway shoulder rather than a built deck, which makes the scale of the palm forest even more startling. The island's only full-size chain supermarket, anchoring the Siargao Town Center complex in Dapa since late 2021 alongside Handyman, Mercury Drug and National Book Store. It has the widest and cheapest range of packaged groceries, toiletries and drinks on Siargao, which is why General Luna residents and villa guests make the 30-minute run for big shops.
The island's main public hospital, located in Dapa about 30-40 minutes by road from General Luna. Following major post-Odette upgrades completed through 2025 it now operates as a Level 2 general hospital with around 100 beds, a clinical and molecular laboratory, a women's center, and basic surgical, medical, pediatric and OB-GYN services.
